NZSA Bulletin of New Zealand Studies

The British Review of New Zealand Studies (BRONZS) was the official journal of the NZSA; a breakdown of the contents for each issue is archived on this site. The Association's new journal, first published November 2008, is the NZSA Bulletin of New Zealand Studies. An annual publication, this is a high-quality fully-refereed journal. The Journal encourages the study of all aspects of New Zealand. The submission of articles (between 4000 and 7500 words) and reviews (between 800 and 1000 words) is welcomed and should be addressed to Ian Conrich, email: ian@ianconrich.co.uk

The following material relating to the study of New Zealand can all be considered for reviews in the NZSA Bulletin: books (academic and fiction), journals, films, conferences, artistic performances (including theatre, musical concerts, and ballet), as well as museum and artistic exhibitions.

Studies in Australasian Cinema is a new international refereed scholarly journal devoted to cinema from the Australian, New Zealand, and Pacific regions. The journal calls for academic articles on all aspects of the region’s rich cinema culture. Major Papers (5000-8000 words) should include original work of a research and/or developmental nature and/or proposed new methods that are clearly and thoroughly presented and argued; in exceptional cases longer articles may be considered. Shorter items (1000-2500 words) include: reports on film festivals; reports on conferences; and book reviews. Prospective guest editors may approach the editor with a proposal for a themed issue or series. Prospective book reviewers and publishers should approach the Editor directly.
